OCT Scan

What is a 3D OCT Scan?

Ocular Coherence Tomography is an advanced eye scan for people of all ages. It is not included in standard sight tests.

The 3D OCT scan is similar to an ultrasound, but uses light waves, rather than sound waves, to reveal the many layers that make up the back of your eyes.

The scan captures a digital photograph of the inner surface of your eyes.

After analysing the photograph, your optometrist can cross reference any areas of concern using the classic view of the back of your eyes.

Using the 3D OCT, abnormalities can be detected up to five years sooner than using a traditional eye test.

Why should I have a 3D OCT Scan?

  • The 3D OCT scan uses the same advanced technology you would find in a hospital.
  • It creates a 3D image below the surface of your retina and gives your optometrist a much more detailed picture of your general eye health.

  • The 3D OCT scan allows us to detect even the smallest changes before they become noticeable to you.

  • And all this for just £30!
